Project Details :

* One Bravo Company (BCM) AR-15 lower receiver with a standard collapsible stock.
* One BCM upper with an 18-inch barrel, equipped with a Leupold 1–6x LPVO.
* One shorter LaRue Tactical upper, approximately 14 inches and equipped with an Aimpoint red-dot sight.

The rifle would therefore be transported broken down rather than as a complete assembled rifle.

Ideally, when the case is completely opened and laid flat, I envision three separate padded areas or sleeves:

1. A protected compartment for the lower receiver and stock.
2. A longer protected compartment for the 18-inch BCM upper and its Leupold LPVO.
3. A separate protected compartment for the shorter LaRue upper and Aimpoint.

I’d like enough structure and padding between the compartments that the receivers, barrels and optics cannot contact or rub against one another when the case is rolled or carried.

For materials and appearance, I’m looking for a traditional heritage/outdoors aesthetic rather than a modern tactical nylon appearance. My preference would be:

* Heavy-duty waxed canvas for the primary body.
* Full-grain or vegetable-tanned leather reinforcement and trim.
* Soft, non-abrasive padded lining around the firearm components and optics.
* Reinforced areas where the muzzle ends and other hard components contact the case.
* Quality brass hardware.
* Two or three substantial leather straps around the outside to secure the roll when closed.
* A strong leather carrying handle.
